Dentures
Q: How do I know if I need dentures?
A: If you've lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay, or injury, dentures can replace your missing teeth and your smile. Your speech and your ability to eat properly can be affected by missing teeth. Replacing them will benefit your appearance and your health.
Q: What process is used for denture fittings?
A: The health of your gums and oral tissues and the shape of your jaws are important factors when considering dentures. Doctors Moore, Coker, and King can provide a comprehensive assessment and recommend the best dentures for you. Measurements to make a model of your jaws are usually taken during your first visit. After the remaining teeth are removed and tissues have healed, a process that may take several months, a full or partial set of dentures are placed.
Q: What is a partial denture?
A: Both full dentures and partial dentures replace missing teeth. A partial denture is affixed to clasps on the few remaining natural teeth, and it is removable.
